Forecasting new products always presents a challenge that requires a different set of tools / methodologies that are not commonly found in an ERP software. Futurion has innovated by integrating in its suite of modules imitation / innovation diffusion techniques that are best suited to forecast products that have not yet been launched. These methodologies can further be applied to capture and reproduce the sales diffusion processes experienced by analogous products launched in the past.
Alternatively, a user may develop a new product forecast starting with either the population of an area segmented by age, gender, and other characteristics; or by focusing on the market penetration at, for example, point of sales, that are grouped by size and/or other features.
